Faster Cognitive Decline Observed After Heart Attack

A new study has found that individuals who have experienced a heart attack show a significantly faster decline in cognition over the years following the event. Researchers analyzed data from thousands of participants and discovered that heart attack survivors had a greater decline in cognitive abilities than those without a history of heart attack.

The findings emphasize the importance of monitoring cognitive health in heart attack survivors and implementing early interventions to help maintain mental well-being. Overall, this study highlights the need for a comprehensive approach to cardiac care that includes addressing cognitive health.
